So far my holiday wasn't fun! On Friday, after the hike at Sungei Buloh, I was rather exhausted. Cal and I decided to eat at Bedok Food Centre. We decided to do something we have never done before: We ordered everything from the Grill stall. (We usually avoid fried, heaty food because whenever I eat those food, I will fall ill.) We ordered grilled stingray, fried kang gong and fried oyster egg. Everything was hot and spicy and I could feel a huge ulcer forming. As a result of our super spicy and heaty meal, Cal had diarrhoea and I had an ucler growing...
On Sat morning, I went to East Coast Park for our AMKSIAN Family day. I had a lot of fun! I really enjoyed the tug of war game. It felt so exhilarating when my team won and we won quite a number of matches but we end up clinching second place. Nonetheless, we felt really good after each win!!! My class brought a lot of food but no one was eating them. Everyone was busy playing!! My doggies and Cal joined me later in the afternoon. We had a relaxing day at the beach, strolling around and just enjoying the cool breeze.
In the evening, we visited the IT fair. It was super crowded. There were people everywhere! We walked for hours and we emerged exhausted albeit happy because I managed to buy a superb camera with many freebies thrown in. I have been wanting to get a better camera. My old camera was really outdated. The people in my shots had to remain really still in order for me to capture them. Hence a lot of pics often would come out blurry..
On Sun, I rushed out to get Pearlyn's birthday present. She is turning 21 this year!
While shopping, I felt rather listless and my throat was seriously getting very painful. After I bought her present, we walked the dogs. As the grass was slippery, I slipped and fell headlong onto the pavement. As a result, I scrapped my palms and knees and I lost a piece of skin from my toe. Ultra painful!!!! I nearly cried in pain. When we reached SWA garden( where we were celebrating Pearlyn's birthday), I was grouchy. I was hungry. My throat was sore and my foot hurt. However, we had fun nonetheless. Later, my cousins even came to my place to hang out. Some of them played cards while others played mahjong.
On Mon, I woke up with a terrible headache and a burning sore throat. I was rather upset. I was looking forward to going to Malacca. I just wanted to get away from Singapore albeit a short trip. Also, I have not gone to Malacca ever since I was 10. I was all geared up. I even got a new camera! But I knew I would be a liability if I were to go on the trip. So I informed Victor that I had to give Malacca a miss. After my phone call to him, I took some medicine and slept. I only woke up at 11 am for some soupy fishball noodles. I managed to stay awake till 2 pm. Then I slept all the way to 8 pm. I rushed down to see the doctor who gave me antibiotics, lozenges and flu medicine. I met my cousins who were downstairs having their dinner . They had gone out the whole day. My cousin from Malaysia and my aunt from US were in town. So all of them went out for dim sum. Sigh.. I missed that too and I love dimsum. They wanted to come up to my house to hang out but when they saw how I looked, they told me to rest instead.
On Tues, I slept the whole day too. I only woke up at 5 pm. groggy but feeling much better. I tried to surf the net to look for passages for setting my exam papers. I found a few. I tried setting the paper but my head was swirling so I did not not manage to do it.
Today, I woke up at 10.00 am. My mum asked if I could drive her, Jeremy, aunt jessie(who is visiting from US) and Don for lunch at ampang yong tou fu at Uppper Thomson. I agreed. Anyway, I needed to eat and I had to go to school in the afternoon.
When I reached school, I spent my time planning for next week's lessons and then I sat down to set my exam papers. I am so happy. I managed to set half of the paper. I am so proud of what I had achieved in 4 hours!
For the next few days, I intend to set the rest of my exam paper, mark some scripts and enjoy what is left of my holidays. I hope I can take Don to watch a movie too.
