Why ban PSP?
'I will only play with the psp during breaks', you claim
but when you reach a new level
you just can't stop.
So what do you do?
Play with it under your table
as if the teachers are blind are not able
to see that you are not paying any attention
Why do this to yourself?
Don't you know the exams are near
Youth is precious
Dun waste it on games and nonsense
So I have to put a stop.
Dun blame me for being cruel
you will thank me when you emerge tops
You just have to stop psping
it will ruin you
because it is like taking drugs
an addiction you just can't control or stop
You dun want to cry right
when your receive your results
I am sure you have dreams
and all I want to see is you
being the best that you can ever be

I am so tired. I reached home late today as I had a meeting. I intended to take a short nap before I do some marking and have my dinner but my tap was spoilt and we had to turn off the main water supply. My hubby and I had to rush down to the hardware shop after dinner to get a new tap. Then, we went to Cold Storage to buy groceries. When I got home, it was already 9.30 pm. My mind was dead. I had splitting headaches and all I wanted to do was to ZZZZ.. I had to check my email but my laptop was spoilt. I had to use my hubby's.
Sigh... The next three weeks are going to be very stressful.. many test papers to mark.. exam papers to mark and one more exam paper to set :(
Also I have to collect the writing portfolios from my sec 1. More marking. But I learnt something new today from the D and T Junior show..Class 1/5 had a booth where they conducted some food experiments. I learnt that potatoes fried in 9 min tasted the best! Yummy

13th April - Russell's birthday
Russell is now 11-years-old. We celebrated this happy boy's birthday by bringing him out to West Coast Park and treating him to roasted pork!
Russell is a friendly, affectionate dog who loves to please us. He loves spending all his time with us. If we were to walk out of the bedroom without him, he would bark. He just wants to be with us. He is also very bright and has a huge vocabulary. He understands us very well like sometimes he would enter the toilet with me and I just need to say 'Ra Ra go out' and he would take his leave.
However, he can be rather noisy, barking at the slightest things and he is also very petty and possessive. He is the top dog in the house and the other two dogs kow tow to him. He is so domineering that if he is not in a good mood, he doesn't allow the other two to eat their food or even use the toilet. He is that bossy! Nonetheless, he is really very adorable and child-like and will always be my baby!!!!

Yesterday was' fix the car' day! I just bought a new set of rims and went to the workshop to had them installed. My hubby also got a new (secondhand) car so he had to get it serviced and guess what?? We met an ex-pupil, Steven, there. He actually serviced my hubby's car. It was a pleasant surprise. Steven belonged to my first patch of pupils and now he is working in the car workshop. Ain't that cool! Of course he did a good job for us! Everywhere I go, it seems that I am bumping into ex-pupils. When I went to Orchard Road for some shopping in the evening, I bumped into more ex- pupils.
Anyway, I watched 'Defintely, Maybe' . It's interesting and rather funny. The trailer does not do the show any justice. It's much better than I expected. My hubby who is not very into romantic comedies enjoyed the movie thoroughly.
Last Fri, my sec 4 guides and I sat down to discuss the next batch of leaders. There are so many potential leaders this year, it was difficult to decide on who should take over the leadership. Samantha's batch has done really well. They are the most creative batch of leaders and have come up with a lot of new ideas like our very own guides relay system, guides email relay system.. I realise they tend to put their creativity to good use when solving problems and handling tasks.
We have been observing the potential candidates for months and have given them numerous tasks to test them. We want leaders who are responsible, diligent, caring and who could get along with one another. It is important that the leaders have strong moral values and integrity. I believe that when a person has a good heart, his actions will be guided by his principles and he will never go too wrong. Yes, he may make mistakes but he will learn from them and become even better. We talked about the potential leaders' abilities and sense of responsibility and if she can command the respect of the gals. Finally we came to a decision .When I got home that night, I reflected on our choices and how they were different a month ago, I am satisfied that we have made the right choice. :)

This is my 100th post!
My gosh. I didn't know that I could sustain my blog for so long but hey this is fun. Apparently there is a mini war among the oldest and youngest pupils in the school. haha
Anyway, pls dun squabble over trivial matters. I enjoy teaching both classes but I am of course closer to my Form Class 5B. I have only started teaching class 15 this year. What I like about them is that they are always punctual for my lessons. Thumbs up for that! Also, they are enthusiastic and keen to learn. Sometimes they tend to jump the gun and ask lots of questions before I finished explaining things to them and that gets my goat! Be patient! Dun interrupt; let me finish talking before you ask any questions!! On the whole though, they are a delight to teach :)
