Yesterday was' fix the car' day! I just bought a new set of rims and went to the workshop to had them installed. My hubby also got a new (secondhand) car so he had to get it serviced and guess what?? We met an ex-pupil, Steven, there. He actually serviced my hubby's car. It was a pleasant surprise. Steven belonged to my first patch of pupils and now he is working in the car workshop. Ain't that cool! Of course he did a good job for us! Everywhere I go, it seems that I am bumping into ex-pupils. When I went to Orchard Road for some shopping in the evening, I bumped into more ex- pupils.
Anyway, I watched 'Defintely, Maybe' . It's interesting and rather funny. The trailer does not do the show any justice. It's much better than I expected. My hubby who is not very into romantic comedies enjoyed the movie thoroughly.
Last Fri, my sec 4 guides and I sat down to discuss the next batch of leaders. There are so many potential leaders this year, it was difficult to decide on who should take over the leadership. Samantha's batch has done really well. They are the most creative batch of leaders and have come up with a lot of new ideas like our very own guides relay system, guides email relay system.. I realise they tend to put their creativity to good use when solving problems and handling tasks.
We have been observing the potential candidates for months and have given them numerous tasks to test them. We want leaders who are responsible, diligent, caring and who could get along with one another. It is important that the leaders have strong moral values and integrity. I believe that when a person has a good heart, his actions will be guided by his principles and he will never go too wrong. Yes, he may make mistakes but he will learn from them and become even better. We talked about the potential leaders' abilities and sense of responsibility and if she can command the respect of the gals. Finally we came to a decision .When I got home that night, I reflected on our choices and how they were different a month ago, I am satisfied that we have made the right choice. :)
