Today is my super unlucky day!!!!! Just last week, my car couldn't start. It turned out that my car battery was dead! Today, it gave me problems again. It kept reving itself even though I have parked it. It is as if someone is stepping on the accelerator pad... so scary. Then I couldn't brake properly. My hubby said it was very dangerous and I immediately sent it into the workshop. I had to wait very long before they said that I could get my car back. Tired, I went home first since my house was quite near the workshop.. five min ride. Later to my surprise, the car was ready by 5.30pm. My dad drove me to pick up my car. Luckily, the repair charge was relatively reasonable $128.. They had to service my throttle body and reset the computer system. I missed an important Award Ceremony because of it! My ex pupil, Shiuan Shiuan invited me to her Bookprize ceremony at Ngee Ann Poly. I was so looking forward to it. But because of my car, I could not go.
Once we got the car, I felt so happy. I thought the repair would take days. Relieved, we drove out of the car workshop. My dad drove off first because he knew a short cut.I was eager to keep up as I had made an appointment with the vet. Jobi had skin problems again. Then, my phone rang and I looked down to see who was calling me. I then turned right without checking and I collided with a LORRY!It wa totally my fault. No excuse. I was distracted. I wanted to keep up with my dad and was distracted by the phone call!
I was so upset! My whole front bonnet was shattered. It was dragging on the floor. Luckily, I was not hurt but I was frightenend. Fortunately, my dad was with me. The boss of the workshop ran out and asked if I was ok. Then he assessed my car and checked with the lorry driver. He was not hurt and his lorry was slightly dented in. But my baby looked so battered. I was so upset! There were many spectators because apparently the bang was so loud!!!! The lorry driver was really nice about it. My dad was very reassuring unlike my jerky hubby who yelled at me when I called him.But I think I deserved it. Anyway, Cal is kind enough to drive me to work even though it was inconvenient for him. Alex the boss of the workshop was also very helpful and kind.
Just when I thought I could drive my car out, I had to meet with a terrible accident!!! 3 car problems in 2 weeks!! URGGGGGHHHHHHH I feeel like SCREAMINGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!
