Farewell assmebly was on Thur. I have been wanting to blog about it but I just didn't have the time to do it. Anyway, it was an emotional day for many as we sat in the hall reminiscing and recalling all the fond memories. I am sure the pupils must have felt berry touched by what they saw. I know I did especially during the video presentation. KP who sat beside me said," Hey janice start already" lol.... start to cry was what she meant. I couldn't help it! Will miss 43 and all my graduating Guides.
Actually before the assembly, I already cried. My guides, anna, aurina and cheryl came in the morning and presented me with cards and gifts. When I read the cards, I cried. I was so touched. Anna, I have faith in you! remember what I told you ! You are a superb Patrol Leader, totally dedicated and committed! Aurina- you are the best leader that one can ever have ( Inspiring, Kind and enthusiastic) Cherly- I will remember you for your generosity, sense of humour and fearlessness. I will really misss them. They were superb- served with all their hearts!
Then during the red carpet walk at the end of the assembly, I teared a little especially when I got to hug some of the pupils and when I saw them cry. I was fighting to hold back my tears so hard. Some of my pupils gave me cards. I was moved to tears again especially when I read Samuel's card when he told me how I have motivated him to improve his English! His heartfelt words really struck a deep chord in me! I will miss him. He was one of my favourite people in 43 too! Utterly inspiring transformation.
Goodbye 43,Aurina, Anna, Xin Yee, Cheryl, Angie, and Hui Xian. I hope I have trained you well. Now you graduate as Jediknights( in my world), ready to take on the big 'Os'. Have no fear for you have immense power inside of you! May the Force be with you!!!!
